Genius Inventions for Moms: Munchkin Snack Catcher

I love this item! I got the two pack of Munkin Snack Catchers from Target for around $6.99 and I use them daily! Not only do they keep your child from dumping their favorite snacks all over the floor, but they also keep them occupied trying to retrieve the food out of the container. The lid is specially designed to allow the child to reach inside and pull the snacks out but keep everything inside if turned upside down or dropped. They also are easy for toddler hands to hold onto with easy grip handles on both sides and are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. If you have a child between the ages of 6-24 months this is a must have!

Summer Tips: Where to get the best BBQ

I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE BBQ! I have tried at least a dozen different BBQ places in the City and Smokin' Woody's on Lincoln Ave is by far the best I've had. I judge it by a number of things, but the price is right, the quality is amazing, a great menu with a fun atmosphere and they also deliver. Always being a huge fan of BBQ, I have eaten my fair share of it in my lifetime. My husband and I usually do take out, but they have a cozy dining room and patio area as well. The meat here is tender and flavorful, there's not a drop of fat on it, ribs fall off the bones, and don't forget that amazing slow hickory smoke flavor. The sauce is sweet and tangy with a hint of spice, though I would have liked it a touch spicier, but I'm a spicy food nut. ;) They top it off with baked beans, cool slaw and massive pieces of buttery corn bread. Life is good!

I definitely recommend eating here if you are in the Lincoln Square area, you can view their website here to check out their menu, www.originalsmokinwoodys.com, they are located at 4160 N Lincoln Ave in Chicago.

Note worthy: Walmart's recent hilarious commercial campaign

This is worth at least a mention, because Walmart definitely doesn't need my help advertising, but their newest set of commercial ads this Spring have been comic genius. The first note worthy commercial of this ad campaign that stuck in my head was the Easter commercial with the Dad that painted all of the eggs for the neighborhood Easter egg contest camouflage and all the kids were getting mad because they couldn't find any of the eggs. Refresh your memory of this hilarious commerical here, but their most recent commercial tops them all. I'm not going to say anything because I don't want to ruin it but, LOL!

Things you should try: Yes To Organic Products!

What a little gem I have stumbled upon. During a recent Target trip I came across Yes to Cucumber products and I am hooked. Their On-The-Go Facial Towelettes are my favorite, I keep them in my purse and diaper bag, which is perfect for hot days when you want to freshen up your skin without having to rinse quickly and conveniently. For around $5.99, they come in a pack of 30 with a free SPF 15 Lip Balm in Target stores, I'm not sure how long the deal is going for though.
I decided to check out their website and found out they are really a great company to support. San Francisco, CA based, they started in 2006 and make their products with natural organic ingredients such as fresh carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes and blueberries, with a special mineral elixir extracted from the Dead Sea. Their philosophy? To make you look and feel happy and radiant, which everyone could use a little of in their lives!
The best part about these products is that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every Yes To product, go to the Yes to Seed Fund, which gives kids fun and engaging ways to connect with Mother Nature and teaches them to lead healthier lifestyles through education about nutrition and the importance of fruits and vegetables. The Yes to Seed Fund also provides Seed Fund Grants to build gardens.
All of their products are very reasonably priced and can be found at all your favorite retail stores, find yours here. You can also purchase online, their sets can save you up to 25% on the price so I advice looking at those! They are wonderful organic products and a great cause, I can't wait to try more of them, I definitely advise giving it a try!
